3D is Fun!
As a kid 3D media was something new that I liked.
Here is some of my reasons for my love for 3D media:
- A nice middle ground of realistic and conceptual representation
- An increasingly ease to input and execute on a computer
As for today, here is the 2 software that I use daily:
There is also a hardware influence to that, here some video game consoles that had these software:
- Nintendo 64 - Wikipedia
- Dreamcast - Wikipedia
- PlayStation 2 - Wikipedia
- GameCube - Wikipedia
- Wii - Wikipedia
- Nintendo DS - Wikipedia
- Nintendo 3DS - Wikipedia
- PlayStation Portable - Wikipedia
Blender
Since at least 2020, I wanted to learn 3D modeling.
Fast forward to second half of 2024, I had the opportunity to have more time for myself. So decided to go for games, videos, … and art!
Well technically more “creative activities”.
I was subscribed to a YouTube channel (Jacadamia) that made these videos that I liked:
- What is a Macamo? - YouTube
- I want Nintendo Streetpass in my life again… - YouTube
- Pokémon’s Redemption Arc(eus) - YouTube
- The Nut (Eek!) - YouTube
Then, they release this video in December 2024:
Both form and content was appealing to me. It was like talking to a former child part of myself, colorful, sweet and, of course, inspirational.
Thus I decided to go through serie tutorial by Andrew Price (aka. Blender Guru):
Blender 4.0 Beginner Donut Tutorial (Newest) - YouTube
And then, the fire started.
